Dr. A,
Thank you very much for protecting my children at school today. I know when they are with you that they are safe. I am always comforted in receiving text messages, emails, and phone calls in regards to my children when there is an emergency at school . My children are now home safe right now. I am however very disappointed in the schools inability to communicate when our children were going to be dismissed today. My children were dropped off on the bus in the pouring rain with no parent to pick them up. I was told to stay home and that I would be informed on the dismissal. I am now wondering what the procedure is in the classroom ? Do classrooms offer phone trees to inform parents as to what is going on at school during an emergency such as this ? In the future will we be told at least 20 minutes ahead of time that our children are being dismissed ? I was in the basement and did not hear my doorbell ring informing me that my children had arrived . Again, thank you for all that you do, I just hope in the future there will be better communication with the dismissal system in the case of emergencies.
