The Gretch that stole Gretchmas

As I type this, there is a helicopter flying in my family room, a child playing with a very large townhouse (elevator included) and another child talking into a megaphone. There is fog from the Chattahoochee River. I am making homemade cinnamon rolls and homemade dinner rolls for dinner. The children have already whined and cried over the toys that each other received. The girls received a large globe that lights up. I think my mother bought it so when people come over...they think...wow this is an intelligent family they own a globe ! Actually, I love to look at globes and read maps. I was trying to think about what to write about this Merry Gretchmas and I thought a top ten of the things I love about Gretchmas...

1. Christmas cards from friends and families who I miss and love.
2. Taking out the Fisher Price Nativity set and playing with baby Jesus when nobody is looking...
3. The smell of logs burning in the fireplace.
4. The taste of Egg Nog.
5. Candy Canes
6. Tunes:  Mary Did You Know ? by the Rascal Flats, Winter Wonderland by Annie Lennox, and Baby its Cold Outside by Dean Martin.
7. Movies: Holiday Inn, It's a Wonderful Life, Elf, The Polar Express, and National Lampoon Christmas.
8. Christmas in Germany including eating bags of nuts and glauwine
9. The smell of a real Christmas Tree
10. Singing Christmas Hymns at Church....especially Silent Night

Happy Birthday Jesus....
