Day 9, 10, and 11

a lady well loved by all :)

Day 9
It's Friday and I am quite tired. It is Mrs. F's birthday and she opens her gifts. I have given her some chocolates from Cron und Lanz and a card. Her others gifts were quite lovely. I felt like my gift was the ghetto gift. I spent the day at her home. She was not too too thrilled that I decided to stay home, but it was a stay at home day and decided to blog. I most likely drank tons of coffee, ate ham sandwiches and who knows what else.
psst...I am in a bathroom....

Mrs F and J...looking both lovely as usual....

Day 10
We went to the Cambridge/Oxford Club and dinner at a French Restaurant. I have already blogged about this as well.

Day 11
One of the things that I really wanted to do while I was in England was to go to church. So, I  accompanied Mrs. F to her church. It was not an enormous church, but small and very sweet. She was in charge of the tea afterwards so I helped her set up. The congregation was quite small as well. The average age must have been 65 ? I suppose that was not nice to say, but everyone was in their later years.  I of course had a hard time following along with the schedule, since Mormons just sit in the same spot the entire time. Mrs. F was the only member of her congregation that keeled on the kneel pad when it was time to do so.
A couple from an organization was the focus of this particular Sunday. The organization was MAF.
Here is what they do:

We work in close partnership with over 1,000 missions, providing flights and logistical support for their outreach to communities in developing nations.
These missions include aid agencies, missions, relief and development organisations, government departments, local churches and other national groups. Their work covers healthcare, emergency relief, development and the bringing of God's word.
The couple sort of interviewed each other and talked about what they did there. It was really interesting and  I was glad that I could attend.  I liked this man because he had served his country, flew for British Airways and with the education and experiences he was blessed with he was able to fly for MAF and helped those in need. Twice I have been blessed with hearing first hand experiences about helping those in need in Africa. It is a blessing to hear from a real person and not a commercial from some actor on TV
Your typical mailbox....why aren't ours so nice ??

Aunt J feeding the ducks with C&C

a sweet house by the lake...those kids have it made that live here !

I liked this house because of the multiple chimney's . It was actually a building that had small flats in it ...I want to say it was for the poor....

Mrs F then had a birthday celebration later on at her house. She had invited both of her daughters who I had met before in the states. It was FUN and dinner was wonderful. We then went to a park with the kiddos in Gerrards Cross and I just hung out on the bench. It was the first time I really missed my kids. I think they would have all really enjoyed the play equipment.

My mother has informed me that she is taking her girls and their husbands on ship via the Queen Elizabeth II to Southampton, England this summer. Well, I can say that I know my way around now....
