On the way to the tea house I discovered a turtle basking in the sun on our lawn. Wow ! I had no idea little turtles run wild around here :) I would have love to have kept it as a pet, but I am afraid my dogs would eat the poor thing. So, it moved away never to be seen again.
My friend was pretty upset with me yesterday. It really REALLY hurt my feelings. She came up later in the afternoon to apologize for what she had said. Which is really cool of her, some people say stuff and just walk away and think ...I said what is on my mind...now deal with it. I really appreciate she considers me a friend and did not do that. People are just all different..we can't be the same. Shal said "Gretch, you are just unconventional and sometimes people just don't know what to think about that." It's true that I beat to my own drum...I think everyone should.
Today, I am doing laundry, dishes and doing some work for PTA. Tomorrow I am taking my kids to a friends house....oh the traffic...not so fun :(

Yesterday was a great day, thanks to you. By the way, I don't find you unconventional at all. There is nothing about you that makes you stand out as different in my eyes. I think I'm pretty conventional in many ways, but I had a strong mother who put herself first sometimes and that was a wonderful example. You can't live for other people. You need to make time for yourself before you can give of yourself. Otherwise, you're just cheating your husband and children of your very best. Don't change for anyone. You are perfect and if anyone disagrees, well....don't take it too hard. Life is too short to dwell on the negative. Just surround yourself with happiness and joy whenever you can.
