My friends adorable son....we are going to be BUDS ! |
Tuesday Night....the last swim meet. Held at a fancy country club in Roswell, GA. The menu ? Hamburgers and Chicken Burgers $7 . My question was...where do you buy a $7 hamburger ? Seriously ? The meet lasted til about 10pm for us and we were out of there. It was fun though ! I met some really nice people there.

Wednesday...Met with Joe my health and fitness guru. I then was trained by Matt. He tried to set me up with pull ups with rubber bands. He said " Gretch, I could set you up with enough bands to shoot you to the moon". So, I try , and it was too hard, so he raised the bands up, but we never went back to it. This week it was squat o rama week. I must have done 600 squats this week. So, I am grabbing my phone and on the way out to the car....I get a text message from my friend Cathy. She came to visit. What does her text say ? Heck why not take a picture of it ! So, I go home in a panic, jump in the shower and head off to the airport to pick her up. I was there on time !

like I was saying" I was reading the Economist" |

apparently its a family tradition... |
I take her to my house and then get the family and head to The Flying Biscuit. Had to have some traditional southern food. We got home and talked about family. In our conversation we learn that we are 3rd cousins ! Isn't that crazy insane ? Cousins are cousins....so now I have another new family ! It's good because we are both really FUN people and get along great ! I also love love love her sister Carla !

Some dive around the corner from the museum....they were all dives..NOT |
Here are pictures of our adventures. First we went to the Atlanta History Center and took a tour of the Swan House. We had lunch at the Swan Carriage House. We then returned and walked around the museum again.

Quilt in Rosa Parks Room |
We ended our trip going to the Martin Luther King Memorial and Museum. It was really cool, but I have a lot to bitch the maintenance of that place. First of all one of the buildings was really loud with TV screens. If I was in charge of his museum I would have made it in chronological order. I would have had less TV screens.

Cathy and I loved this quote |

Who ever did this...well they are just sick.. |
One of the other buildings had a few of his items...like unfortunately his hotel key that was used the night he was murdered. Someone had come a long and ripped out the photographs of his wife. They also destroyed this beautiful quilt in the Rosa Parks room. They ripped his face right out !
