Not sure what I wanted to write about today. It's a holiday, but I did go work at G's today. I also did some of my motherly chores...ahhhh making my house a home with motherly love. Perhaps I should go make an Apple Pie, Homemade Macaroni and Cheese, and Chocolate Chip Cookies. So, that when my girls come home from school I'll have a tray made with a cold pitcher of cold milk and little white plates. . Maybe I'll even wear an apron with pretty pink ruffles. Isn't that what being a mum is all about ?
I could write about yesterday ? I met my friend and her two sons at the museum. They looked at the cars and then joined me on my Highlights Tour. I did have a couple join me from Ireland. I introduced myself and she said "Yes, of course, it's on your badge." I am wondering to myself..is this a couple that knows everything already ? Wondering if the art pieces I have chosen will be okay. The tour went well, but of course sometimes my answer was "I don't know". The tour mentally wiped me out. Nobody showed up for the family tour. That was disappointing, but in a way almost a relief. I need to practice and practice. I also had those moments when I knew so much about something and suddenly my mind became blank. My friend was very helpful with her extra comments....I appreciated it so much !
Having my purse stolen has been on my mind. Sad about my savings taken from my purse, my new wallet, and my identity. I know, I know, they're just things and it was just money. Maybe it's that living in Georgia isn't a very safe place to live. That it seems all that I look forward to, my childish excitement and anticipation has let me down. I think everyone has moments like these...they just don't talk about them.
I am off to read a gigantic novel on Picasso. I am at the part of the book where he is sleeping with prostitutes on a daily basis as a very young teen ...I can't imagine the book getting any better than that ? After that book I am reading Salt, Sugar and Fat by Michael Moss. Apparently, its very depressing...but will make me only shop on the outsides of the store. Perhaps that is why stores are putting Little Debbies and Doughnuts on perimeter of the markets these days?
Crazy busy insane week and ending again with tours at them museum. Let it flow smoothly this time :)
