Well, I am so glad I asked myself that questions. Nothing pleases me more than to talk to myself about ME. Because truly nothing is more exciting in life than I am...
This fine and lovely sabbath day I had nothing on the schedule but my tour at the museum and church. I frantically got myself ready this afternoon because the kids were going up to Helen to shoot the hootch on tubes. So, after applying makeup ( which I do every two weeks) and pressing my clothes I head off to the museum. On the way I am attempting to open up a new watch from its packaging and read the directions how to set it. Now, this is a very painfully difficult thing to do at stoplights. It doesn't work, and I had to wait til' I got into the docent room. I floor it and make it about 30 minutes early and figure out how to program it. I am reminded of an SNL sketch of Dan Aykroyd's commercial of trying to program a watch . Unfortunately, I could not find anything about it online, however I did find the the HULU link for the commercial for the: Bass O Matic 76.
If you click on Bass O Matic 76 it will link you to the site...
I get the watch programed I walk briskly up the walk way to the Greene Family Learning Gallery and find that the Free Family Tour at 2pm is missing. Nobody shows up for the tour. I walk around the museum and ask random employees about the sign and it's missing. BUMMER ! It happens though, people just aren't interested in tours or they are unaware of the fact that there are free tours at 2pm. So, I went home and deciding what to do since I am kid free. I haven't been kid free in months.
Rah had rowing registration. I am considering being in charge of ordering uniforms next year since the other Gretchen is retiring. Then I can be on the board and get a better sense on how the team runs.
G has decided that she no longer needs me to come and help her out at home. Which wasn't a shock since she is able to do so much more since she has moved. Glad though that I could help her out when I could. Now, I am pretty much unemployed. Which the exception of my full time employment as a mother. Which receives no money and no benefits...there isn't even encouraging feedback. It's "where are my clothes and what's for dinner"...that is what a mother is being all about. It's a good thing I have such awesome kids to make it worth while. E is being tested for the talented and gifted program. Cross my fingers she gets in since my other two kids are in it....cross my fingers and pray !!! Word !
