Block Me Baby

I have recently done some housekeeping on my FB account. I had quite a few people who had passed away, deleted their own accounts, never used FB, people that I realize had so many friends that I don't think they even bothered to look at my account. There were also those people from my past who I just knew we would never see each other again....so, um...why bother being friends ? One of those people from my past I decided to contact to contact was Christina. Now, I am actually using her  name because quite frankly, I have no idea how to post this conversation without using it. Besides, she apparently doesn't like me so..whatever. Also, I am sure she is a very nice lady, but uh...I am making fun of the fact not only did she remove me as a friend (within a matter of less than one month) but she also blocked me. Which I find hysterical because what...am I going to try and get her back as a friend on FB ? Life is too short !

So, I tell my sister that she does this and we laugh about it. Just because it was so odd....well she has her reasons. So, I text her.... and above is the conversation we have. So, what did I do yesterday ? I wrote her a Haiku. Yes, I had forgotten since 4th grade Mrs. Williams class how to write Haiku, but I think it turned out quite well. Oh and by the way Christina thank you for giving me a reason to blog...

A Haiku for Christina B :
Why did you remove

Last night I went to the MOCA Atlanta (Museum of Contemporary Art)  and they were having a grand opening of a new wing. It was very nice. Not a lot of snooty people walking around

My favorite and you can't imagine the amazing detail !
. I met a very cool artist Alexi Torres, who does basking weave art. He paints people as if he was creating them with grass weave baskets. He's from Cuba and it was very cool talking to his wife about growing up there and what an adjustment it was for him to come to the states. To see his work on the internet is not the same as real life....amazing work !!!

I went later to a fabulous restaurant called Couscous that has food from Tunisia.

Great service and great food. I want to go back...like tonight.

However, tonight I am going to this season premier party of Doctor Who. It seems to be hosted by the British Consulate, but I have not idea. I am sure its a bunch of Brits getting together to drink. There is also a costume part to it, but its going to be 40.000 degrees outside !  No costume for me ! I want to go for 2 reasons:
A) To watch the premier
B) To possibly meet some Brits so that if they have visitors from out of town I can give them tours at The High. It's all about networking !!!
