AC in the DC

When I die and go to heaven...Jesus better not look like that...nor Mary ! FREAKY !!

Well it wasn't THAT hot in DC this time. Actually, K and I had nice evenings on her porch.

Day 1 : Drove to Greensboro, North Carolina. Stayed again at a Holiday Inn Express and it works....seriously they've always been clean and functioning and the free breakfast has always been very good.

Day 2: Drove to DC. I loved driving though little towns in North Carolina and Virginia. Wishing that I could own one out in the countryside...no people, animals, etc. Arrived about 3:30 pm. Waited for K a bit and  then we both waited for E. E was expected to arrive 9ish but had no details on his flight. E had left his cell phone in his cab in NYC and only had his poorly fueled i Pad to contact us. We finally picked him up. His super like SUPER rude cab driver ( imagine that) calls me and asks whose phone this is....without you know...explaining WHO he is or WHY he has E's phone.

Day 3: K went to a fair with G. E and I went to Georgetown and to the Lincoln Memorial. Tons of people in both places. We need to all meet up in the fall....when its less touristy. Anywho, LOVED Georgetown ! What a fun place to live reminded me of Brooklyn and Berkeley etc. Loved the stores and the tree lined streets. It's no wonder the Kennedy's decided to live there !

Drove home in loads of traffic and picked up some items for dinner at K's house. E made a lemon chicken to DIE FOR with homemade croutons and K made quinoa and carrots. I...I made myself a dirty dr. pepper and made E cocktails. Dinner and discussion were wonderful !

Next morning K took us to Panera for breakfast. We all consumed these egg white avocado and spinach breakfast sandwiches and then took E to the airport.

K and I returned to her house and I took the metro to downtown. I was able to meet up with M ! Just kinda worked out that way and was happy to see M too ! We went to the Portrait Museum and the National Art Museum. Sooo wonderful and was happy I could tell him about some art. There was a VERY HOT Catholic priest giving a tour to some people about religious art...so cool !

Yobama ! Did not see the White House this trip

Wish I had been on that tour. No, not because he was HOT because it would have been awesome to get some religious perspective. Thank you M for your flexibility and how wonderful it was to see you again !!

Day 4: Spent the day sleeping and doing nothing...and then I prepared a fab Watermelon and Herb salad and reheated leftovers. I hated to go ! However I have commitments today and tomorrow.....blah to commitments !!

Day 5 drove back to GA....I am flying next time ! None of these 10 hour drives alone !!
