So, last night I went to the Museum. We had the American Curator talk about American Art. I asked a whole bunch of almost unrelated questions. Like, about the painting up above. I asked about the polar bear this lady is sitting on. Well, because kids will ask "why is she sitting on a polar bear?" I need to answer that right ? So, the polar bear is just there because its white and fluffy and brings texture to the photograph. Yes, and there are lilies that could signify resurrection, but they don't. They are again white and just included in the piece. Things were done at this time for esthetic purposes and there was no deep symbolism in them.

It's getting warmer now (finally) and the upper floors are very hot now. Heat rises up, there has been visitors creating more heat and the lights. So I decided to wear my bandana. No, I am not super fond of the bandana, but I would rather have that catch in my hair than have hair that appears wet. I am wearing far too much makeup ....generally bandana wearers do not wear makeup. However if I am going to be out in public like that I might as well spruce myself up. After all ....it was opera night at the arts center and people were wearing their evening attire.
I also took this picture last night to show what it's like. We walk around in with fold up chairs and listen to lectures. My friend would kill me if she knew I snapped her behind, but its where I ended up sitting :) Anyway, last night was our last curator tour event. How I would love to have more of these because..they know everything about these paintings and sculptures etc. They bring out paintings that I would never bother looking at and ...that's important. Make me like landscapes and still life !!
I have to blog about something else other than art...gun control, Putin, North Korea, Syria, Obama Care ? You pick :)
