Yeah, I am sure that I skipped a lot in between, but quite frankly I am not able to blog as much as I like to. I am moving. Where ? I have no idea, but that pretty much trumps my adventures in India. I did however receive happy jump up and down news. I was accepted as a docent at the High Museum in Atlanta. Which means in September I start training. It's months and months of training ...once a week for a few hours, but I am really excited. It's pretty much what I had planned on doing when I moved out here. I think my trip to London in October and visiting all those museums really helped ! The people who interviewed me were very impressed with my collection of favorite artwork on my phone.
We spent our last day in Igoor actually in Mangalore. We went the luncheon ceremony given by the grooms family. I feel very privileged to attend the ceremony and luncheon because it was only for close family. We then went for the best ice cream in Mangalore. They had the craziest flavors and of course what do I choose ? The ice cream sandwich...totally boring. We then got into the car and drove to the beach. Please don't put me close to an ocean and tell me that I can't dip my feet into it. It was the Arabian Sea, so now I can add that to my list. The beach was not crowded and nobody was wearing swim suits except for little boys swimming in their underwear.

One of the cute kite flyers |
I gathered sea shells, watched those cute little boys fly kites, and enjoyed the sea. We then went back to Igoor and woke up the next morning to return to Bangalore. It was sad to say goodbye. I wish there had been more time to visit. To drink coffee, eat samosas, and enjoy the wonderful evenings. So, I have to go back. We arrived at Kiran's fathers house in the afternoon. My new friend Vishnu took me shopping to an indoor mall. Malls are malls where ever you go.I bought some clothes for myself and my kiddies. I also had a Subway sandwich because nothing else looked appealing.
Right before we left I spotted a Marks and Spencer store. I had wanted to buy my girls these Percy Pig treats, but they didn't have any. In fact, when we arrived back in London there wasn't time to buy them. I admit that yes I would have eaten most of them myself :)
