I went to a wedding in India and it was fabulous !!

Day 7 - (May 21st )  I am now currently under the belief that the "days" mentioned in this blog are totally inaccurate and truly I should have kept a journal (like my friends) and recorded the events of the day. Whatever day it was we traveled to Sakleshpur to attend the wedding. We had accommodations at a lovely cottage. They were very nice and they even had their own special doorbell rings. We changed our clothes on arrival and headed to the grooms arrival.
Now, you would think that I would have remembered all of these things that went on during the ceremonies at the wedding, but I can't. My friend Colleen took excellent notes and I tried to see what was going on, but had a hard time.

Day 8 (May 22nd) I am wearing the outfit that Shalini had bought me a few years. I promised her that I would wear the outfit to Sindu's wedding. Now, I did lose weight awhile ago because the wedding was going to happen a few years ago, but fortunately I was able to fit into it now, and it even looked better on me.

 The music, Sari's, the flowers, the colors and the ceremony were spectacular. I don't know how a bride and groom can last so many days ! I was able to go on the stage and bless them. I poured milk on them and some rice on their heads. Shal was to make sure that I poured the milk lady like...really did she think I would have just poured the entire jug on them and ruin it ?

All of had a fantastic time and met such lovely people. We noticed that all the familes gather together and chatted away as all of these things were going on.

 The aunties helped a lot with the wedding ceremony including Shal's family. I am aware that there were a lot of great pictures taken at the wedding, but I had my cell phone and another camera that were not so great. My friend Colleen took wonderful pictures, which I will beg from her :) I can only do so much :/
