Its 9:15 ish (as rah rah would put it) in the AM. The girlfriends are off to school. The dogs are sleeping on my bed and I am getting ready to go to the cardiologist and get an ultrasound. Yesterday, I stupidly took an adhd pill. I started taking Strattera last month. It had nice and horrible side effects. It suppresses the appetite but I had every single freaking intestinal problem it listed for a side effect. So, I stopped taking it. So, missing the effects of a suppressed appetite I took a smaller dosage. You know, if a drug helps you lose weight, why not go back in a smaller dose ? MISTAKE ! I went to lunch with friends yesterday and thought I was going to pass out. I consumed some food and felt better. I volunteered at the library last night and had a nice time. I got home, watched some TV and read a little GW.
Midnight I get up to use the facilities and I almost fell down in the hall. I thought it was because I was just really tired and grace is certainly not my middle name. When I get back to the room I realize I am really dizzy and lay down. I thought I was going to pass out. It was pretty dang scary. I then am feeling stupid, swearing myself off of any drugs that work with the brain, and hoping that I make it through the night.
This fine and lovely morning I am still tired and dizzy. I am hoping that when I fall off the treadmill at the doctors they can see if there isn't something else really wrong with me. You know, I think I would rather just suffer through ADHD for the rest of my life than going to a psychiatrist who is apparently also a drug dealer. Only if Mother's Circus Animal Cookies were the solution ???
