We returned to NORTHMINSTER Presbyterian Church in Roswell. We attended the 11:15 am communion. There were many things I liked about this "regular session".
First, most of the songs were printed on the program and the program was easy to follow along.
Second, was the pastor Rev. Day has a sense of humor.
Third, I just liked that they were preaching directly from the bible.
Forth, he gave a good sermon. He talked about New Years Resolutions, Facebook, and about prayer and that while praying this week start off by saying " God, I know you love me". Okay, so it was not that EXACTLY but you get the message.. Fifth, they support a homeless shelter directly. You can either donate $20 or you can bring a bag of food listed in the program.
Sixth,
They also have a mission once a year to Brazil :Every year a group from Northminster Presbyterian Church and Ebenezer travels to Manaus, Brazil. A week is spent on a medical mission boat on the Amazon River. We have built two churches, painted numerous houses, played lots of soccer, evangelized in villages, cut hair, held Vacation Bible School for children in the villages, and provided medical and dental care for those along the way. We have also left clothes, toys, flip flops, Bibles, and candy in each villa.
I soooo would love to to do this !
They also had programs for children, so my kids were not totally bored. Rah rah liked that she would wear jeans and they girls loved that they were not forced into doing something that they didn't want to to. Much love to Nancy for answering all my questions.
