Day 14

I am excited day 13 to visit with my friend Cookie. Cookie has been living in the UK for almost 3 years and it's almost time for her to go home. I am excited to have an old friend to visit for the time that I am there. So, I take the train out to Gloucester Road and meet my friend. It's funny, because really she lives very close to the tube station, but nobody seems to get the location of her flat. So she flags me down and takes me to her flat. The flat is very nice and modern. Apparently, Keanu Reeves had been staying there for awhile, so I am assuming she was not staying in the ghetto of London.

We decide that we want to go shopping. So, we have sandwiches at a cute French cafe and then we got on the bus to shops in London. Cookie is now an expert tour guide. She can take anyone anywhere on bus. So, first we visit Harrods. It was my second time in Harrods and realized that I can't really afford much there. So, we check out the Christmas Section and the section where people buy valuables to that say Harrods on them. I buy some things and then we went to other stores as well.

 My favorite store was probably Liberty. It is a English Tudor style store on the outside and the inside is just beautiful. The beautiful lights, wooden staircases and floors. Really, who cares about the merchandise ! She took me to other stores as well that were really inexpensive. We had such a fun day just looking at things. W and  catching up, since it had been 2 years since we had seen each other. I got home rather early to pack for my trip to Ireland.
