Song of the Day: "Every Time We Say Goodbye" written by Cole Porter and sung by Annie Lennox
I don't know I just love this song. I love the way Annie sings it. I like a lot of other Cole Porter songs, but this one is sad and yet romantic at the same time.
What I am hearing: The sound of 4000 leaf blowers. I am wondering if they are blowing the entire forest behind my house ?
Neurofeedback: Okay, it's getting not as exciting to write about. I am certainly much more calmer than I used to be. Things don't worry me as much as they used to. I am not as emotional as I used to be. However, the sessions are just ...just not as exciting as my feeling of enlightenment. I have decided to blame it all on Benedict Cumberbatch and his engagement. I have to blame it on someone or something right ?

Docent ing : We were trained on a wonderful photography exhibit. It's actually two exhibits Gordon Parks and Leonard Freed. Photographers who photographed the south. Parks photographing segregation and Freed photography the life in the South. Both galleries are powerful and I can't wait to take my girls to see them. Growing up in California you were taught that there was segregation. You were taught about Martin Luther King Jr. and that it happened. We saw nothing like this. What life must have been like for these children that were not allowed to play at the "white only" playground. What a powerful photograph...if we could have only seen the looks on their faces. The nice trimmed lawn and they are standing in weeds. What did their playground look like ?
Continuing my education: I decided once I started being a docent that I have a great deal of passion for art. So, I have been encouraged by my friend to return to school and get my bachelors degree. So, I went to see the pricing on classes for a community college in Atlanta. $300 + for 3 units of class. One class ! It is half the price in California. I found this to be very depressing. So, I was told to wait until my kids are graduated from college....sad very very sad. Doesn't it seem impossible ? That kids who graduate from High School have little chance of being educated if they want to attend a Jr. College ? That is a lot of money for one class ! Boo !
