Good Morning Life !

It has been a busy week. I think every moment that I was not running around I was sleeping. I am hoping next week isn't going to be the same...or is it ?

The 80's

Libraries Now...

Monday: Dr. Pre Op  Appointment, Dogs, the gym and then the library.
My pre op appointment went well and surgery is planned for this coming Tuesday. The library was a rather crappy experience for me. I had just showered and had wet hair when I went in. Thinking that it was going to be empty....no, it was packed. I am nervously walking around the library watching HS students come in and out. Remembering my years in high school and feeling awkward. So, of course since I was so nervous I started sweating. So, there I am nervous, dripping sweat, watching kids and wondering if they are staring at this lady ....next time I am wearing a bandana !!! Oh and this library was fabulous. Not a lot of books, but lots of tables chairs meeting rooms and computers. The librarians were NICE.

Tuesday:  I volunteered a tour at The High and had Thai food with my friend Barbara.

Wednesday: Appointment with the psychiatrist. It was a 15 minutes $75 appointment. I sat in the waiting room reading an upscale magazine " Departures" . You know it has advertisements for $13k watches and 5 star hotels that in my wildest dreams I could never afford. Nice to look at and realize how ghetto poor I am. You have to have an American Express account with a certain limit to even get the magazine. So, why did I not pursue psychology ?  Basically our appointments go like this :
Dr: Hi Gretch, how are you doing today ?
Gretchen: Good, everything seems to be fine. Have you been to the High recently ?

Dr.: No (but then discusses a trip he took a few years ago to St.Petersburg, Russia) Do you need any prescriptions ?
Gretchen: No (thinking about all the prescription drugs I could ask for an sell to the snooty ladies here, so I too can go to Russia)
Dr: Well great, can you bring this slip up front ?
Gretchen: Yes
I give the receptionist $75 dollars and makes comments about my jet black hair. She said that she wanted jet black, but it would make her look "goth". Her hair is colored BRIGHT CRAYOLA RED. Yeah, I wouldn't wanted to be identified as "goth" either.

Thursday: The Gym, Joe, and Neurofeedback
Yeah, Neurofeedback is actually going really well. Like last week and I had a day that I was in a really really good mood. There are times when I get sad and then realize there is no reason for me to be sad, but over all I think that my mood is improving. At least the tests are moving in a positive direction. I am watching the worst  documentary on Crete by some British Historian about The Minoans. Sorry lady, I know you rock everyone's world, but not mine.

Had lunch with my friend Stacy...who is AWWWESOMMME ! 

Friday: I was scheduled for two tours by ended up only giving one, but it was fun.
