Spring Wonderland

I slept in until 6:30am. Elizabeth wakes me up to tell me that there is snow on the roof. So, I look and here is this icy snow in the backyard and at the neighbors house. Even the bus was covered with snow on top. No, nothing to play with but apparently Georgia has Spring wonderlands.

I've finished reading my Joe Kennedy book. Oh wow was he a jerk ! The book I was reading were just parts of his diary, letters to his wife and letters to his children. The memos and letters to the President and to people in Hollywood were so so. He apparently thought "Mr.Smith Goes to Washington". The letters to his wife were rather painful. Knowing he cheated on her and expressed his love for her. I guess he just used his wife for making babies. The way he treated his kids ....through letters was horrible. He sounded like a cranky old man. He told his daughter  Rosemary, who was eventually given a lobotomy that she was fat. So, she writes these sweet letters back and says she is sorry for being fat. He writes how he wants to put her on yet another diet. He tells all the boys they have crappy penmanship and spelling.. That they need to have stellar grades and be superior sportsman. I don't actually think I have something nice to say about him. Oh, I know, he made very handsome boys. I found them all to be attractive and only one lived to see old age. How depressing ! I think Teddy got the worst of it. I think in a past life I dated Joe Kennedy Jr. in the 40's.

I miss my girls being so little...sorta....

I've been saddened lately. My girls Elise and Michelle have been doing well in school. Elise gets good grades and is well behaved. She often comes home with a purple N from school. Which means she has excellent behavior in school. Michelle  comes home with green which means she is doing well. Elise is excelled in math and reading, but Michelle is doing better than Elise. Michelle is more athletic than her sister and she has been tested for the talented and gifted program. I think they are just both as talented and gifted in their own ways and yet society will judge them because they are twins. It has to be a great blessing to be a twin and yet to be compared like that. I just look forward to their teenage years....blah !!
