This hand....looks totally FAKE !!

Today my girl left for camp for a few days. I drove her out there as she sat there in the front seat playing with her iPhone. I got lost and was asking her for directions. She said " Mom, I don't know how to read directions". Oh I was totally TOTALLY ticked off at her ! You know, there have been many times where I have been reading something online, watching a movie, or playing WWF on my iPhone when I have ignored her. In fact, many times I just ignore the whole family and space out into my phone.

Is my iPhone a blessing or the evil tool of Satan? I am so addicted to technology, I wonder how to get away from it ? I told T that I had no issues in leaving the TV behind. I also could live without the Wii player as well. Maybe on our trip across the US they will have an appreciation for things other than movies and games ?

Anyway, I am happy that my girl is at camp. It gives me the opportunity to pack her room. It also gives me the opportunity to see how much stuff is left around the house. Exactly how much clutter does she contribute to our household ? How much less laundry will we have ? I will be glad that her friends will not be calling our house at 7am to find out what she is wearing to school or what time she will arrive. I don't know if I ever did that ?

I did have some conversations for hours. Reading poetry or stories I had written over the phone. Listening to Duran Duran and sharing my deep loving emotions for Simon le Bon.  Oh the fun and emotions of being a teenager. I can't wait until all my kids are insanely loaded with hormones...damn !!
