Notes to the GretchieVerse

T: Yes, today's change of command was interesting from the Pentagon Channel. No, no I will not be listening to CSPAN when I get older. Are you nuts ? Don't I seem a wee bit more exciting than that ?

Uncle Jack: I am thinking about you all the time. I am wondering why your doctors keep you on your back, arms and legs when that is where all of your pain is. Uncle Jack I love you and will miss you when you leave this earth. You are my one and only favorite cowboy. I will miss your rough hands, your cowboy hats, your dirty pickup trucks and dirty cowboy boots. Uncle Jack I will miss the smell of fuel from your tractors and all the other smells that come from your farm. My children will never be able to have the same experiences that you have given me while spending time on your farm. They will never have the experience of riding in a tractor as you cut hay. They will never be able to see the sheep or ride on the top of your pick up truck. They will never be able to hang out in your dirty old trailers in the backyard and wonder what life is like as a sheep herder. They will never be able to watch you kill a sheep and remove its organs as its hanging from a shed. Well...they would never really like that. I am assuming most people in the bubble have not experienced that.  The best part was learning that Aunt ML was serving mutton that night. I am pretty sure I just had potatoes, gravy, home made bread and jam that night. I will miss your cursing and your messy kisses. I will miss you bitching about sprinklers and trucks and tractors. I will miss seeing you sleep after a long days work on the farm. Laying on the sofa in your old socks taking a snooze. I will miss all those things about you. I hope you stop suffering soon and head up to the spirit in the sky. Kick my dad while you are up there. He totally deserved it ! Love you Uncle Jack.

Dear Stacey: Thanks for helping me out yesterday, I have a feeling that you'll be helping me out like that more in the next 6 months. Yes, the more the Gretchie the better !

Dearest Kiran: Thanks for the Indian Grub. I now have a huge canker sore on my mouth. No, it was not all the cancer in a can that I have consumed.

Dear Little F: I am still waiting for your grandmother's fantastic chocolate cake. Like I really need the chocolate cake.

Dear Oxfam: Yes, I am still here. What if next week I start working really hard on my fundraising ? This week I am slammed with the sick, and the messy, and school. This summer is going to be a true vacation for me.
S: When it comes to this computer I will always come before you....always. I am the momma lama and as your father put it so nice a few evenings ago " Gretch the whole world revolves around you". Yes, and apparently in Slovakia and Bulgaria it does :)
