The Art of Letter Writing

I have recently started reading " Franklin and Eleanor a Extraordinary Marriage". It's a very good book. Not as scandalous as "The Bolter", but never the less it's quite enjoyable.   I like autobiographies and biographies. I like history and historicalish type of books. I think what I am enjoying the most is the letter writing between Franklin and Eleanor. They have pet names for each other. The wording is so romantic it makes my heart melt. The letters are so passionate. Yet, this is the time of email and you just don't hear about letter writing anymore. How I would love to have a letter like the ones that Eleanor received. The older I have become the more I enjoy romance and movies of old. When it seemed that men were perfect gentlemen and ladies were proper. Obviously, it has been documented that although Franklin loved Eleanor, he definitely cheated on her. Nothing romantic or passionate about that. Eleanor was an amazing lady and one that I can be proud to admire.

The Move: The realtor came over today to talk about selling the house.  It appears that we will be short selling it. It is going on the market in two weeks. Two weeks....that seems so soon. Two weeks ...it all seems so surreal moving away across the US. It's not the moon, it isn't another planet...it's just a different American Lifestyle. I am not as much scared anymore as I am going to miss my friends. They have meant so much to me over these past few years. Loving and supporting each other. Our friendships will last forever, but dang I am going to miss them. Hearing their voices and seeing them over Skype just is not the same as being with them in person. Our hugs and trips to Sideboard ...shopping at Bloomingdale's in PA. So much cleaning to do, it will be good for us, but the though of cleaning this house...it's going to take FOREVER !!!
