I am too lazy to write about it...so I copied this from Kristin....
We had an earthquake tonight that was actually kinda scary. It was about 9:00pm and we were sitting outside talking with our neighbors, Tom and Gretchen and Casey and Monica while all of our kids were playing tag out on the lawn (One of our last warm summer nights--we were all taking advantage!) Anyway, the kids all decided that they needed to go to the bathroom at the exact same time so they ran into our two houses (ours and the Cronins). About a minute later the ground started shaking, shaking, shaking, BOOM!(a loud jolt that bumped a couple of us our of our chairs) and then more jerky, violent shaking. We were all looking frantically around for the kids and it took several seconds to remember that they had gone inside. Josh was the first to reach our door and as he ran across the hard wood floor to the bathroom the floor was moving beneath his feet. Tessa was asleep in her black chair and Josh grabbed her and the other kids who were crying by now and we all met back outside. The shaking finally stopped, our hearts started to slow down, and all the kids were crying. It was crazy! I'm not sure why we all went outside. It just seemed like the thing to do. Afterward Monica said she was gonna go home and look up what we are supposed to do during an earthquake and report back to us. Oh, and apparently it was a 4.0 centered in Alamo.
